As the Sales Director you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the company's international sales strategies, managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets across various regions. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of global markets, excellent strategic planning skills, and the ability to drive sales growth in a competitive environment. .
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand the customer base globally.
- Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set short and long-term sales goals and develop plans to meet those goals.
- Assist in development of key account plans for our strategic customers.
- Drive input for marketing and operations to align with sales strategies and go to market strategies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Be linking pin between sales, marketing, operations/planning, customer service, logistics and finance
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Manage the sales budget, forecast sales revenue, and prepare regular sales reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry developments, competitive activities, and global market conditions
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the product development and marketing teams based on market feedback.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in a global or multinational company.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies and achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of global markets and cultural sensitivities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
- Multi-language – high level in English and French, Spanish and/or German are plus
